Winter break camps 2024-2025

This Winter Break, we celebrate the magic of Winter!

Registration is open to kids in JK to Grade 6. JK-SK participants (children born in 2019 and 2020) are grouped together. Gr 1 to 6 participants are split into two age groups.

AM Program: 9:30am-12:00pm

PM Program: 1:00pm-3:30pm

Full Day Program: 9:30am-3:30pm - lunch supervision 12:00pm-1:00pm is included

$110 +HST full day camp
$58 +HST Am or PM camp

For half-day participants, please remember to pack a nut-free snack and water bottle. For full-day participants, please remember to pack a nut-free lunch and 2 nut-free snacks.

December 23

December 23 - Morning 9:30-12:00 Snowy Animals Frame

Spend the morning with us making a merry scene! We will sculpt a self portrait with a snowman friend out of polymer clay and place these on a hand-painted frame. A perfect gift for a special friend or family member!

December 23 - Afternoon 1:00-3:30 Winter Forrest Squirrels

This afternoon we’ll imagine ourselves in a silent, snowy forest as we paint, cut-out and collage these furry squirrel friends sitting on a birch tree branch.

December 30

December 30 - Morning 9:30-12:00 A Wintry Night

There’s nothing quite like the magic of freshly falling snow. Join us this morning to celebrate the beauty of a wintry night in Toronto.

December 30 - Afternoon 1:00-3:30 Pompom Self-Portrait

This afternoon we'll make an extra-special self portrait! We will paint ourselves using watercolour and acrylic and make a real, 3D pompom to adorn the top of our toque!

December 31

December 31 - Morning 9:30-12:00 Hibernating Bear Collage

We’ll use our imagination for hibernation this morning and create a beautiful sleeping bear scene using mixed media.

December 31 - Afternoon 1:00-3:30 Polar Express Printmaking

Based on the classic story we will learn reduction printmaking techniques to stamp our colourful train cars onto a background of cool acrylic painted hills.


January 2

January 2 - Morning 9:30-12:00 Snow Globes

January 2 - Afternoon 1:00-3:30 Owl in a Tree Scene

During this mixed media morning we will use watercolour, oil pastels and other materials to create a collage of an owl all snuggled up inside it’s forest home.

January 3

January 3 - Morning 9:30-12:00 Penguin Family Portrait

This morning, we’ll create a special family portrait to adorn your holiday home! We’ll use polymer clay to sculpt our unique penguin family and decorate a rustic birch tree slice with paint and felt embellishments for the background.

January 3 - Afternoon 1:00-3:30 Twirling Snowflakes

This afternoon, we’ll use special watercolour paint and paper to make magical snowflakes. We’ll learn about cool colours and how to fold and cut our unique designs to turn them into snowflakes!

Materials for each class will be provided. Although we do provide aprons, please dress for mess

Please note that no make-up sessions will be scheduled due to participant absence.
